Apparent in every stone,
Christ be with us all tonight
Wherever we may roam.

When in morning's brightness we depart
Christ comes with us all the way
He cares for us and helps us
Through each and every day.

Christ be with us under foreign suns
Away from calm of home
Christ care for us and guide us
Wherever we may roam.

When we return home at day's end
Christ meets us at the open door
He draws us into His embrace
And loves us for evermore.

Christ be with us through the night
Though we're in company or alone
Christ protect us and live in us
Wherever we may roam.

Through days and nights
Through departing and returning
Christ be with us all our lives
And in all our journeying.
